 1. What is your most prized piece of sports memorabilia?
The replica of the first Stanley Cup I won. I love that thing.
2. Who was on the receiving end of your best check?
I doubt you could find anyone I checked who would say it hurt.
3. Miracle on Ice. Greatest upset ever?
Yes. Enough said.
4. Why is your arena the coldest in the NHL?
Ice in the desert—figure it out!
5. In hockey, the coach is the only person in the arena who wears a suit. Why?
Tradition. I love sporting traditions, and hockey has great traditions.
6. You used to tuck in your jersey on your right side. Any superstitions as a coach?
I tuck my dress shirt into the right side of my pants.
7. Do you sing in the shower? Favorite tune?
“All Summer Long,” by Kid Rock. He played it at a Fourth of July party. I almost jumped up onstage!
