Avalanche Safety for Backcountry Travelers 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Three backcountry travelers caught, three buried, three self-rescued. Their survival is largely due to the Black Diamond AvaLung.

Read the full accident report from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center here:
http://avalanche.state.co.us/pub/accidents_co.php?accident=20090116

Check local avalanche conditions before you venture into the backcountry. The number for Central Colorado is:

719.395.4994.
